Snow

Yup, just like they forecasted, it snowed this morning. A friend later informed me that Environment Canada believes this could be one of the colder winters in Victoria for some time… great, p-e-r-f-e-c-t marathon training weather.

That said, Cater braved the elements with me and in an effort to avoid the hard stinging flakes we decided to head into Mt. Doug and loop through the trails, taking advantage of the protection the canopy provided. A truly perfect run in rare conditions.

Snow in Victoria?? Aww, the rest of Canada is in tears. Should we send blankets and hot soup? Glad to see you still had a nice run.

That's what I like to see! Weather fight! haha

The weather sucks everywhere, it seems. We just got another 6-8 inches of snow last night, so with over a foot on the ground, it isn't going away until April.

It could be worse. Just imagine trying to train through 60F and rain...

WEATHER FIGHT!

Yes, snow in Victoria, and you can leave the sass on the east coast (soup and blankets welcome). It’s absolute pandemonium here when it snows; a combination of the elderly, hills, black ice and infrequent practice makes for interesting times. I’d “almost” trade the countless days of rain and gray skies for snow, but I guess that comes with the territory, what with living on a coast. How is the weather back east?

Eric, sorry to hear about the 6-8 inches of snow. And yes, what is with Mike complaining about 60F weather and light rain, p-l-e-a-s-e! He doesn’t realize how lucky he is (I’m sure he does the bugger)! We’ll have to keep an eye on how Thomas is doing.

Michael,

love2run is pretty funny. It is snowing here as well. I like the cold. Makes running in 30+ degrees not as painful :D
